ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE AND ICE CREAM
At Muddy Puddles Ice Cream, we believe that every scoop tells a story of love, laughter, and resilience. Our shop was founded to honor the bright spirit of our son, Maximillion, who found endless delight in simple pleasures like watching Peppa Pig and jumping in muddy puddles in his favorite blue rain boots. We built this space to capture that same sense of childhood wonder, creating a welcoming environment where families can pause, connect, and find a reason to smile.
Our menu is a celebration of the joy Maximillion brought to the world during his four vibrant years. While we offer a wide variety of delicious treats, our heart beats strongest for the combinations that spark imagination—like Max’s personal favorite: strawberry ice cream topped with gummy bears and sprinkles. Whether you are stopping in for a classic cone or a colorful creation, our goal is to serve up a little bit of happiness and a lasting memory with every visit.
Beyond serving delicious treats, we are dedicated to giving back to the friends and neighbors who support us. Through Maximillion’s Muddy Puddles Foundation, a portion of our efforts goes toward building the Indianola Children’s Memorial Splash Pad. When you visit us, you aren’t just buying ice cream; you are helping us build a beautiful, joyful place where future generations can laugh and play. Together, we can spread kindness and community, one scoop at a time.
Maximillion Wood
Maximillions’ Muddy Puddles (MMP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to honor the memory of Maximillion Robert Wilder Wood, a joyful four-year-old who loved the outdoors and tragically lost his life in an accident in 2022. To continue the love Maximillion showed his community, the foundation focuses on supporting families who face the sudden, tragic loss of a child by providing immediate resources and aid. Additionally, MMP is fundraising to construct the Indianola Children's Splash Pad, a memorial project designed to foster friendship and play in celebration of Maximillion's spirit.

RUSTI & ANDREW WOOD
Founded by Rusti and Andrew Wood, Muddy Puddles Ice Cream is a tribute to their late son, Maximillion. Inspired by his boundless joy and love for jumping in puddles, the Woods created a space where every customer feels like family. Currently, through the shop and the Maximillion’s Muddy Puddles Foundation, they are raising funds for the Indianola Children’s Memorial Splash Pad, ensuring a legacy of laughter and play continues for generations to come.
