At Muddy Puddles Ice Cream, our mission is rooted in the joy, laughter, and light of our late son, Maximillion. Inspired by his love for life’s simple pleasures—from jumping in muddy puddles to enjoying a scoop of strawberry ice cream—we are dedicated to honoring his memory by fostering deep connections within our community. Through Maximillion’s Muddy Puddles Foundation, we strive to turn our grief into gratitude by raising funds for the Indianola Children’s Memorial Splash Pad. We believe that by coming together to build spaces where families can laugh, play, and make memories, we can spread kindness and keep Maximillion’s spirit shining bright for everyone.

We’re working with a great signage company to get something up front before summer—our rounded roof and the Iowa wind make it a bit tricky, so we’re leaving it to the pros! The puddles are drying up (for now!)—so make sure you sneak in a few good jumps before they’re gone 😉 With the sun making an appearance, it’s the perfect excuse to celebrate with some ice cream! We’re open today from 3:00–8:00 and Friday from 3:00–9:00. Come soak up the sunshine with us!
